Every issue has pictures of the organ in various family, social, institutional settings. (Did you know there was one abourd the nuclear sub, "Seawolf!). Also included, music - with chord settings - to popular songs of the day. > Too cool -- a nuclear-powered chord organ. Almost as cool as George Harrison writing "Blue Jay Way" on the chord organ that came with a house he rented in LA. If it were on "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea", the chord organ would erupt in sparks and flames every time a giant squid attacked. Speaking of subs, just finished reading "Dark Waters: An Insider's Account of the NR-1, the Cold War's Undercover Nuclear Sub" by Lee Vyborny. This sub was Admirial Rickover's supersecret pet project, and runs on a nuclear reactor the size of a desk. The reactor sounds perfect for touring in remote locations, and could probably handle the whole band and maybe even the lights, not just the Hammond and Leslies. The sub was pretty cool, too, having wheels so it could simply cruise along the bottom. A near miss, but the above water parts were painted orange, not yellow, on the rare occasions the NR-1 was on view. -- Keith Clayton clonk at rcn.com
