I'd like to hear what those other problems are, mostly because......

They aren't stepper motors. 2 Pole squirrel cage motors w/ tach/servo.
Not the most elegant design, and the pulsing technology they are using
could be improved. A lot of things have happened with induction motor
technology in the past few years. This I know

JD: I stand corrected. I thought they used stepper motors and figured it
would cause major problems when trying to mic them due to the expanding and
collapsing DC magnetic fields.

PA: Which may be why Ham-Suz chose Swiss Plywood to build all of their new
solid wood B3 cabinets eh?

JD: The B3 I saw and played was constructed out of veneered MDF. As Scott H
stated earlier, it was a prototype that I came across at a local keyboard
dealer. Again, I stand corrected as I admitted in an earlier post. I was
merely answering Fulks question as to what was wrong with using MDF in
constructing B3's. I'm happy to hear that Swiss Plywood is using solid
hardwoods with veneer covering.

Thanks for the info. Always happy to learn,

JD
