[HAM] [Very OT] Another Shameless PlugRobert Hayton x77dude at bigplanet.comTue Jun 3 20:34:01 CDT 2003
What would you do if your organs failed to work? Not your Hammonds-- but your arms or legs, kidneys, liver, lungs, etc? People suffering from Multiple Sclerosis-- a devastating and debilitating disease-- experience these failures on a daily basis. MS causes the sheath around our nerves to fail so that the "signals" sent from the brain get mixed up on their way to the muscles in the body. Think about the manuals with the gooey foam and the mess that occurs to the wire bundle going to the TWG and you have an approximation of the problem. In a couple of weeks, I will be participating in the Nation MS Society's Challenge Walk. We will be walking 50 miles over 3 days from Concord, CA to San Francisco. I =really= need your help! As the premier fund-raising event, participants must raise $1500 in order to qualify to walk. I know that money is tight (isn't it always?), but even a small pledge would be highly appreciated. I have a page on my website at <http://www.haytondirect.com/challenge>, or you can email me at <x77dude at bigplanet.com>. I apologize in advance for using this forum to spread this request... but I'm really behind in my fundraising and I've painted myself into a corner. Thank you!!
