[HAM] Help with Case!

   I have been working on fixing up an old Model D (Thank You Karl
Frick). It had a pretty rough case that we semi-restored with some putty
and stains.  It is a little dis-colored, and looks kinda light and dull.
Would I be asking for trouble trying to put some laquer of some kind to
try to give it more shine? Whats types are good? I am afraid I will slop
it up worse. What are your thoughts on this... Thanks!  Frank
