[HAM] I've found a gem, but what is it?Jezza B jborum at crosswinds.netMon Jun 30 20:59:01 CDT 2003
Hello! I'm new to the list. My name's Jeremy Borum, and I'm 25. I've found a Hammond organ that will shortly be for sale in an estate sale and I'm interested in buying it. However, I don't know exactly what kind of organ I'm dealing with. I signed up to this email list hoping that somebody could help me figure out exactly what I'm looking at and how much it's worth. In the bench are two different bits of documentation from Hammond with different serial numbers and model numbers on them. One says it's a model A-102 (serial number 21266) and the other says model H-133 (serial number 8019). It does not have a leslie, and has the speakers inside the console. It has all the drawbars you would expect as well as having a row of more traditional organ stops. These seem to be related volumes and ???percussion???. Does that make sense? The keys at the bottom of the keyboard are what actually change the sound. The colors are backwards from the rest of the keyboard, which I gather is common. There are also little words printed on them describing the sounds they will create, which I haven't seen in the few pictures of B2s and B3s I've seen. Any ideas what I might have here, or how to find out? - Jeremy Borum jborum at crosswinds.net ___________________________________ Build high quality traffic with the Web's Premier traffic building system. 2 to 1 ratio! http://www.itrafficstar.com/?ref=6
