That's why it's called a "kickover" switch, hahaha.

I have experienced the same, and its made me a big fan of Velcro.   
Just unscrew those rubber feet and slap a big piece of the wide  
velcro on there.  Then you're set.  If you play on a stage with no  
carpet, maybe carry a 3x5' rubber and carpet doormat around with you.

I personally have found the "kickover" part of the EXP pedal to be  
harder to use than I thought so I've since disabled it and just used  
my left hand or another footswitch.
