[HAM] Is it is or is it ain't

Just wondering if, the XK3 seemed to have all the balls, presence and vibe (like all the propaganda purports it to have)of your beloved C3? Or is it just a glorified XK2? The Korg CX3, Hammond XK2 and Voce's clone all sound pretty close to the real deal through a real Leslie. But close certainly ain't no cigar. Does the XK3 nail the sound that much better to warrant the layout in cash? Or is it just a case of planned obsolescence so the CEO of Hammond/Suzuki can buy another yacht? I know it's lighter so your don't need to go there and we all know that any Leslie simulation that doesn't move air falls way short of the mark as well. I'm Just wondering specifically about the XK3 nailing the sound like "they" say it does. It either does or it doesn't. Just curious as I am looking to scale my live rig down from two C-RT3's running three Leslie 122's off each one. Just kidding about that last statement. But I do play a 1965ish chopped A102 through a new Leslie 122A. I was able to whip a crowd into such a frenzy last week with my band on "will it go round in circles" that a dude on the dance floor did a complete back flip. I love having two full manuals at my disposal. There's a definite magic that emanate from having the sound created by real tone wheels and I don't just think its just in my head either. I would be interested in hearing your observations after you have had a chance to do some individual tone-wheel editing on it. Maybe set it on top your C3 and adjust each key to sound like your C3. What say you.
