[HAM] How do I get overdrive on an L-100 spinet?Eric Pratt ericmusicus at yahoo.comThu Aug 10 17:06:09 CDT 2006
Also one other possible error in the previous reply - Leslie 110's are non-powered (amp in the L-100 would drive the single bass/full range speaker>>>rotor). The L's unfortunately (I have only played a couple) are not the same animal to work on as A,B,C, even M3. Not an AO28 or AO29 pre-amp/amp, wouldn't know where to find the gain pot that's on the swell housing in 28's & 29's, don't think there is one. SOOOOO, there will be no growl from the organ, and for sure no growl from the Leslie. Amp modeler or TUBE (!!!!)pre-amp for sure only solution. I checked the Captain's site and the Wiki for you, and came up dry...if you wanna go spinet, find an M3 for sure. Best of luck, Eric Pratt --- Peter Csere <firenexx at gmail.com> wrote: > To get overdrive like Deep Purple on any Hammond, > you need to get a Marshall > full-stack (that's a guitar amplifier) and overdrive > it.
