[HAM] Newbie with M111 Vibrato problemRay Winkel oilyfishhead at gmail.comThu Aug 10 19:54:47 CDT 2006
I have an M111a and had a similar problem. 1st thing to try is swap the 6AU6s. One of them is the preamp pentode for the vibrato channel. The other is for the non-vibrato channel. If the problem moves to the non-vibrato chanel, it's a bad tube. That didn't work for mine. :-) Measure the voltages on V1 (6AU6). The plate voltage should be 170-200 V. If it is less than that, Replace R9 (plate resistor). If it's more than that, measure the voltage on pin 6 of the tube. It should be about 50 V. If it's less than that, replace R10. (that fixed mine). If it's alot more, replace R11. If that doesn't work, try something else. ;-) On 8/10/06, WHITE, JAMES P <JWHITE3 at entergy.com> wrote: > > Hi Group, > Bought my first organ Friday, a Hammond M-111 - Now the quest is on to > learn to play.
