[HAM] Free Hammond Question

The 123 was the first 'Hammond' my family owned, cost my dad a fair bit of his hard-earned wages, and I learned on it as a kid. The 123J2000 was part of the "Romance" series (!). I have very fond memories of it, but though it pains me to say it, it ain't a 'real' Hammond...

We later traded this for a Hammond "Dolphin", then an X-5 'portable'. 30 years later I've wound up with a C3 and an L100. Lots of gigs, playing, pleasure and fun under the belt, and it all started with that little 123.

Just don't buy one!

UK Jake

is the 123 a hammond or a leslie model #?

I have only heard of A, B, C, L, and M series Hammonds...

You don´t want to see this Hammond model, believe me! There´s nothing but brand in it. My friend bought one for 100â'¬(100â'¬ too much!). I told him diplomatically that it´s not a very desirable model. Next day he sold it for 200â'¬ for some youngsters who thought it was real treasure! Some people manage to make money with almost anything. Crazy world!
