[HAM] Recapping AO-29David Anderson thermionic27609 at earthlink.netTue Aug 22 09:17:31 CDT 2006
Hi Vaughn, Replacing the electrolytics is fine. Ceramic capacitors are generally very reliable, so I wouldn't replace them unless they test bad, i.e., leak DC. Waxed paper capacitors should be replaced. In these amplifiers, I often find that the resistors being far off their nominal value has a lot to do with sub-optimal performance and end up replacing a number of them.
