Sorry, I disagree. 1000 feet is 1/5 of a mile which is a LOonnnng way. You can measure slight EMF from it but not a 60Hz hum in electronic equipment. More like several hundred feet would be more likely. I think it might be induced by the phone line or phone equipment. Are you using a handheld (wireless) handset with a base unit that plugs in?
