Bill,
I have regular electricity like most people. I don't live, and would not 
live, near high-tension lines. I thought you said that was what you had 
1,000 feet away from you. Pardon me if I was in error. I do know from 
experience that very-high-voltage power lines can induce 60Hz hum in 
devices nearby. I did quite a bit of research on this years ago.
