[HAM] Resistor Wattage Values for RT2

Hi everyone:

I'm working on a RT2 with a type RTB pedal solo generator. While I thought I knew what 1 watt resistors look like, I am finding some of the resistors are longer than the typical one watt units. I thought the rule of thumb was that as diameter increased, so did the wattage. Does the extended length of some of these resistors also indicate higher wattages, or are they simply just what was in stock at the time of manufacture and they're all one watters? Also the schematics don't indicate when there is change in wattage, as in later schematics (for example, A0 28 pre-amp schematics).

Any help appreciated!
George
