Right, I didn't "get" that.  I thought that the whole point of matching 
the caps was, to get matching caps.  It seems like using values all over 
the map sort of negates the point.

Then, if what you're saying is true, the whole "matched caps" argument is 
fallacious.  It's sort of like throwing darts, except you're throwing the 
dartboard at the darts, which are on different planes.

And then of course Harold is right about the original caps having wider 
disparities than the recaps, because there was never any attempt to match 
the caps to each other.
