[HAM] Removing top from H-100Larry Richmond richmond501 at cox.netFri Nov 24 10:39:21 CST 2006
Hey, The H-100 has a 1"x3" support board directly under the top near the rear extending the length of the organ. Screws from under the brace screw in from the bottom into the top. Unplug the wires for the light that's mounted in the top. Remove the screws and the top lifts up from the rear first then off. Note: there are usually u shaped shims between the board and the top. Don't loose them. It's usually best to remember how many shims were from each screw and replace same. Use the reverse to put it all back together and use care when screwing in the screws. If the number of shims between the board and the top is wrong then it can warp the top. It does look like I have to take the whole thing apart. There's got to be a better way. BTW H-100 series organ have a phenomenal animation system. I get bright glowing tones that are impossible with the venerated ABCs. It is nice to have them both tough.
