       Yes, the ao-39 was designed to compensate for the 12" speakers lack of 
bass ability. I was hoping someone would cite the actual components since I 
haven't got a schemo handy. 
   The AO-39 may be an elegant little amp but I never cared for the sound of 
the  so I  tap into the preamp for B+ and audio for the Leslie and pull the 
5U4 on the power amp. I should bypass the amp completely but I haven't gotten 
around to it.
