Where is "Speakeasy Music"? Dover PA. Near York PA. Who owns it. Steve Hayes. Why do some think it is bad? Long story, but to summarize it in a paragraph or so as I see it: The man started a business and was doing repairs and rebuilds just like any other professional using the same suppliers. After a period of time he and some of his customers started looking for more quality and more of a vintage sound for the various projects. If a supplier denied having a defective product or could not or would not help or assist in improving their product, the only choice left for Speakeasy was to produce those products himself. This created completive products and prevented maximum funds for those products to suppliers, first from Speakeasy and then from some savoy end users and techs. Instead of addressing quality build and sound issues, contempt formed from suppliers and some techs who stocked these products. Very little can be said to disprove the build and sound quality of Speakeasy products which only leaves attacking of ethics. Not that there is anything wrong with Speakeasy's ethics, but it is the last front to attack. History dose repeat itself. Mike
