[HAM] Bill Beer Cutdown and Schleicher SoundWilliam Mark Bristow gfc at classicnet.netWed Oct 4 20:35:00 CDT 2006
Guys, If you want to hear the Keyboard Products (the late Bill Beer) cutdown - which has a very distinctive sound with his high power 122's (some like it, some don't). It's not stock, but I love it. Go to http://www.captain-foldback.com/ and click "sound clips" at the bottom, then click PINK FLOYD - MONEY and PINK FLOYD - ECLIPSE. Both are classic Keyboard Products - Bill Beer Hammond with Bill's Tone Generator re-calibration set to his secret specs. (Bill told me he made his calibration chart from analyzing six really hot B3's and averaging the results.) The organ has Bill's propriety solid-state preamp - and propriety solid state 100/100 watt bi-amp Leslie amp replacement and has JBL drivers in the Leslies. To hear the EIS Bob Schleicer organ with his modified Trek-II preamp and Leslie (rebuilt amp and Atlas PD-60 treble driver). Go www.keyboardmag.tv <http://www.keyboardmag.tv/> then click "How to Play" and choose "CT: Squibb Breakdown" (there are several others - some CT clips though some are clearly the XK3 system). Mark
