Ahh, but the point of those is usually not to provide a jack for headphones
for silent practising, the point is to provide a line-out to a mixer or
amplifier. In that case, the internal speaker would still be wanted as a
monitor. This is probably why you aren't finding many schematics that have
the speaker silenced.

I'm sure this is probably a tired issue here, but WAF concerns
dictate I ask the question.  I'm looking for a headphone/line out
circuit I can install on my M3 that will silence the internal speaker
when headphones are plugged in.  No headphone schematic I have found
to date actually silences the internal speaker, which would kind of
seem like . . . you know . . . the point.  Your help is much
appreciated!
