[HAM] Unwanted distortion on an L100David Damroze damroze at excite.comSat Oct 14 14:04:17 CDT 2006
Well, switching the 6BQ5s around seems to have changed the level and quality of distortion. I didn't see any burnt looking resistors or get that toasted component smell. Should I just replace the 6BQ5s , or , go ahead and replace all of the tubes while I'm at it. I hesitate to spend to much on an L100 that I spent $100 USD on , but , until I can afford something better it's what I've got. Any recommended tube suppliers ? David D.
