[HAM] Definitive jazz organ recordingDavid Damroze damroze at excite.comFri Sep 1 00:14:56 CDT 2006
As a beginner myself , I would suggest Rhoda Scotts " Encore , Encore
, Encore " if you want
to hear pure organ . The whole album is just her and a drummer.
There are samples on her website if you want a taste.
Makes it easier to hear exactly what the organist is doing.
As a historical note , there is also some interesting stuff
available of Fats Waller
playing pipe organ.
