Thank you for confirming that my post did appear  properly even though
only the words '' Hi David'' appeared  on my computer when I read the
Hammond zeni posts.

Could be your mail reader software. Since you started the
first sentence with the word 'From', it may be critical to some
mail formatting program. The 'From' is then converted (indented)
by an additional bracket sign ('>').
