Thanks for the tips.
  Resetting the tubes and connector cable eliminated the waterfall sound. 
  I will try the expression pedal linkage and take a peek under the preamp while it's disconnected to see if it has been rebuilt.

  I may pull the Leslie motors and oil them today also.

  It seems to be getting better the more I run it - no more TG or scanner squeals.  Guess it took time for the oil to flow into place...

       This waterfall sound combined with low volume may be the result of poor 
  connections. see if you can wiggle the 6 pin cable and reproduce the sound if 
  so it needs a little tightening  or cleaning. the tubes are probably the same 
  way.
