As another youngin' (29), I can vouch that my current respect for Smith and Joey D (d)evolved from MMW and McConnell (Vida Blue, Phish) and the like.

I would play the last 5 minutes of this track....

However, I expect that the good professor has already played his piece for the kids and is now on the vibraphone forum starting a discussion on the merits between Hampton and Appleyard.  

So, after all this- what was the final piece chosen for the sleepy neophytes?
