Since I am technically clueless I wonder if am maybe into a misbelief? Any thoughts on that I would greatly appreciate. Markus, just to throw out my 2cents on digital vs. analog, CD vs. vinyl. CD's are perfect and pristine, and wear out slowly, analog falls apart rather quickly, be it tape or vinyl. BUT...I like vinyl better because it has *warmth* produced by physical movement in every phase of sound reproduction. Voice or speaker, *moves* the air, is recorded by a mike diaphragm which also *moves*, then recorded onto magnetic tape particles which *move* transferred to vinyl to be played with a stylus that also *moves* in the grooves, into speakers which move. Movement produces warmth, phatness, whatever it is people call it. Although I like the pristine sound of CD's and often I hear the instruments clearer, it's somewhat colder and doesn't *move* me the listener/neural perceiver, the way vinyl and recording tape affect me. I still have a lot more to read here, hope I haven't just rambled for nothing. BG --- __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
