[HAM] XK3 vs. B3joe doria joedoria at hotmail.comSun Sep 10 16:45:16 CDT 2006
Well, the new one is pricey but can sound good. The real deal is...the real deal, and actually more affordable to get into so there ya go. An organ with a lot of problems being the exception of course (TG, contacts, etc). But it doesn't sound like that's what you're buying into (real b3/122). Reality with moving - if it helps: ya know, wherever you play, I've rarely seen the occasion where nobody helps you move in a real hammond. I just can't imagine many situations where people say "no, screw you - you move it alone". I just don't. if you got that many enemies - you wouldn't even be playing out in the first place. Keep it in the van/whatever, lock the TG down (maybe add those goff lockdown rubber shock helpers for the TG), def get a roll r karry. Be careful with it and go to town. Moving a real organ: organ with the roll r karry, leslie with a handtruck, pedals if played and bench (if playing pedals). I'm setup before most gtrs and drums (never can beat a vocalist or horn players ;) People always help - or do 80-100% of the moving sometimes. >From: Drew Hoelscher <dahoelscher at charter.net> >Reply-To: The Hammond Forum <hammond at zeni.net> >To: The Hammond Forum <hammond at zeni.net> >Subject: [HAM] XK3 vs. B3 >Date: Sun, 10 Sep 2006 07:30:15 -0400 > >Hi! > >I'm looking for input on this.
