[HAM] XK3 vs. B3Boris R gomobil at yahoo.comMon Sep 11 02:59:37 CDT 2006
I'm with Joe here. Maybe I should add that an A100 makes the job even easier because of the lighter cabinet. Roll'O'Kari is clearly a must. Certainly if you have a lot of stairs to the stage it will be tough, but then, 4 reasonably fit men should do it without needing medical aid afterwards. I am getting 50 this year, and I don't feel it specially annoying to transport the thing. I do use a van or a trailer with some kind of a ramp to get in/out of the vehicle (sometimes only a pair of boards). Drew Hoelscher <dahoelscher at charter.net> wrote: Hi! I'm looking for input on this. I'm thinking about buying either a XK3 with lower manual, pedals, and a vintage 122 OR a vintage B3 and vintage 122 (probably within a month or so...). As far as I can tell, the price is about the either way. Also, I don't know where in the Detroit metro area I can try the full XK3 setup. Does anyone own the full XK3 setup? How does it compare to a B3? (Sound, playing, feel, etc.) My main problem with a B3 is moving it around. I'm getting too old to be lifting the thing.
