[HAM] 122 reverb unit - anybody know where to get?Michael Casino mtcasino at comcast.netMon Sep 11 16:51:16 CDT 2006
Leslie had a kit for the A-100 to a 147 type. It was the 8444 kit. All it was were two 47 ohm resistors used as a mixer. Not that this dose you any good yet and those values won't work with a 122. They also had a kit to change an unbalanced signal to a balanced signal mostly used on spinet organs to 122 type Leslies. That was the 8020 Kit. The Leslie 4H Echo kit used four 820 ohm resistors to mix and match various Hammond and Leslie balanced tone cabinets. So if you used an isolation transformer along with a 16 ohm resistor on the input to make the reverb signal a balanced signal and then mixed the reverb with the GG using lets say four 820 ohm resistors, you are in! You don't need the echo switch unless you want to use one. Your reverb knob should do all you need to do. If you need any schematics of the above mentioned kits, let me know. Any Hammond tech can get you the isolation transformer and resistors. http://www.tonewheelgeneral.com/build_page.php?category=Leslie+Speaker+P arts&subcat=Transformers scroll down to: Hammond Suzuki Leslie 122XB Input Transformer $27.00 Mike <snip> I do play out with the A-101/122, which has the reverb unit - is it possible you can explain the procedure in routing the verb thru the leslie? Are you saying this is possible? thanks for any help
