I agree.

Same here, although I do play an organ with the Trek cheek block
switch occasionally and it bothers me less than it used to. But my
timing is off due to the extra arm travel. Takes half a set to get
used to.

I have the halfmoon velcroed on to the front rail of my gig organ for
easy removal during transport. Another velcro patch under the manuals
acts as storage location.

Yeah, I like having the percussion controls in the right place. I
prefer not having to think about where to reach things.

But I'd much rather find the Trek Tremolo switch on a rental than a
halfmoon that's been banged/glued so many times it keeps falling apart
(or off) when you switch.

I don't disagree with your desire to keep things stock. I religiously
return stuff to stock when I can. But I do like Trek's products in
general and I feel they usually augment rather than replace/override
stock functionality, although there are exceptions.

For instance I'm no fan of the Trek string bass because it neuters the
bass pedals (Had Rhoda Scott here and she wanted string bass but I
refused to cripple my organ).

As you indicate the OBL box is non-intrusive. And the same goes for
the 'burp in the case of a "real" (B/C) console. It's a slightly
different matter for the A-100 given the builtin reverb. But after
being used to the Trek on my B-3 and C-3 I just had to have it on the
two A-100s. So I have 4 Trek 'burps in the house and wouldn't want to
be without them.

Expensive? Yeah, maybe. But like my organs I don't expect to replace
any of them anytime soon...
