The model 60 and 70 Leslie were really designed for Wurlitzer and  
Rhodes electric piano, were they give that cool vibrato. I've had a  
model 60. It does sound great on piano, I didn't think it was very  
special for Hammond. The motor drives something like a scanner that  
sends the signal back and forth between the two speakers, but in a  
fairly complex way. If you don't have the second speaker, it's just a  
10" speaker in a box. Should be easy and cheap to find. You probably  
can find the controller on eBay; that's the part that mounts to the  
piano.
