[HAM] Recapping...Michael Fulk strangewarrior1 at earthlink.netMon Sep 18 21:54:28 CDT 2006
These original values are meaningless, as every capacitor was measured and put in bins, then used to install. Many values, falling within the tolerance of the standards requested, were used. All was done by hand after the inductor trays were in place......and, incidentally, before the magnests were tightened..........all of this info from Alan Young, now deceased, former Senior Engineer at Hammond. I´d be more concerned about those .255 caps on tones 49-54. Currently available .22 value is way too low, and if not fixed causes an audible decrease in level on those tones. > > Vaughn Smith <docb3 at cox.net> wrote: Hi > > Does anyone have a good reasonably priced source for the .105uf caps > needed to recap an M-3 tone generator?
