I would not go that route. The TREK2 percussion, while
not-too-shabby-sounding, has a couple of, in my opinion, shortcomings. For
one thing, it permanently robs you of the triggering drawbar - there is no
way to get sound from it as the unit doesn't switch off. But my biggest
complaint about it is about its "maneuverability". While the slider controls
give great flexibility in theory, it IS much more difficult to go from, say
3rd to 2nd percussion on the fly when you have to push in one slider and
pull one out just the right amount - as opposed to just hitting a switch.
Sure, it gives you features like 5th harmonic percussion and continuously
variable decay time - features that I never ever use, and can't even think
of a use for.

Furthermore, it makes little to no sense to add in an aftermarket circuit to
do a (arguably) bad emulation of something that you already have in the
instrument, but haven't hooked up.

The fact that it is a PM pre is great though! Just hook the output wires
straight to a 145/147 Leslie with the load resistor set to "8 ohms", and
rock on!
