[HAM] This BLINDFOLD TEST is Not a Test It's a GrooveRandal Muir randal.muir at bigpond.comWed Apr 4 05:16:11 CDT 2007
It's a toughy. It sounds like his articulated bass style, but not his RH drawbar setting. I'm not familiar enough with his soloing style to ascertain anything from that. The only others I could think of with such an articulated bass would be McGriff (but it's not his RH style) and maybe McDuff who usually was more melodic in his RH. -Randal ----- Original Message ----- From: "Geoff Williamson" <electroboy at aanet.com.au> To: "The Hammond Forum" <hammond at zeni.net> Sent: Wednesday, April 04, 2007 8:05 PM Subject: Re: [HAM] This BLINDFOLD TEST is Not a Test It's a Groove > This would have to be the duffer, he's got that 'ah-but-ah' thing > happenin' > on the right hand opening some of his phrases....no? > > > Geoff > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Randal Muir" <randal.muir at bigpond.com> > To: "The Hammond Forum" <hammond at zeni.net> > Sent: Wednesday, April 04, 2007 5:55 PM > Subject: Re: [HAM] This BLINDFOLD TEST is Not a Test It's a Groove > > >> Is it Groove Holmes??... chord Eb7 #9 or Eb in bass, G, Db, Gb, Bb >> passing >> thru D6 #11 (D F# B E G#) to Db7#11 (Db F B Eb G).
