[HAM] 820165 UPDATEJerry Fowler jerryinkc at gmail.comFri Apr 13 14:12:44 CDT 2007
If I'm recalling correctly, the 820--- series use oscillator circuits to generate signal. They are not digital (as the new clones are), not electromechanical (as the older tonewheel models), they are strictly electronic. The amplifier is solid state, no tubes. Bearing these factors in mind, the sound of these organs is brighter (and possibly harsher) than the tonewheel/vacuum tube models, but in my humble opinion, they sound better than any of the digital clones made lately. Considering the price and what your using it for, I'd say you're doing great. Best of luck! -Jerry On 4/12/07, Dale Groshek <dcgroshek at charter.net> wrote: > > Greetings....I have an opportunity to aquire a free 820165.
