[HAM] CV - Starter motor not engaging TG

It was working this morning.
  Spent the afternoon replacing a couple of pedal actuators.
Then removed the board over the manuals to fix a broken drawbar wire.
  Put everything back together and now the starting motor turns but 
isn't engaging
the TG or synch motor .
  WTF ?
  Could I have knocked something loose while fixing the other stuff ?
