I have one of these and its a single speed peach. The main channel is
basically the same as the model 47 power amp, the predecessor to the 147.
You can use the second channel for reverb or rewire the amp for a few more
watts. You'd need to get under the 50C power amp to rewire it for the Combo
Pre-amp.

Here is the difference in wiring:

      147 (6W) and model 7875 combo pre-amp
50C

Pin 1 black signal (ground)
Channel 1 and 2 signal (ground)

Pin 2 yellow AC to relay
AC to relay

Pin 3 gray AC power
AC power and relay power combined

Pin 4 blue AC power
AC power

Pin 5 brown AC to relay
Channel 2 signal

Pin 6 red signal (hot)
Channel 1 signal

shorting pin 2 to pin 3 switches to coast the same
AC power at pin 4 is separately routed through the switch (at the organ) and
then to pin 2

To make the Combo Pre-amp work, one would desolder pin 5 inside the 50C
power amp and tape off the wire. Then desolder the wire running from pin 3
to the relay at the pin side, and resolder it to pin 5. You would then pull
the right 12AU7A and two 6V6 tubes to disable Channel 2.

Dave Bishop
