Ask a simple question around here ....... Thank you Steve for all of the info and the link to your website. I'd still like to see a photo or drawing of the start motor assembly. As a living room Hammondist living in an apartment , I'm kind of limited as far as the scope of projects I can do on these devices. Although I see your viewpoint , it just ain't practical , space wise , experience wise or $$ wise. As Scott suggested , and with a link from Jeff to the howto , I tried lifting the manuals to access the start motor and found that I could only get a couple of inches of room - not enough for any serious manipulation or exploration. Or maybe I'm just intimidated by all of those little wires and the possibility of over stressing some of those 60 year old connections. I've squirted a little WD40 in there and a little oil , but with limited space it's hard to get to. So . at least for now I can get the instrument going with a little nudge from a wooden paint stick , shoe horn or similar device. David D. > >
