  So , I need to lift both manuals ? Are they angled or lifted straight 
up ?
  when I tilt the upper manual it starts hitting the pre-amp.

  I just got everything put back together but , I'm already thinking of 
taking it all apart again
   It's just hard to leave it alone when you get another idea of how to 
maybe fix it.
