As in 'Finger Picking Capital of the World" Winfield Kansas?  Guy I  work 
with runs up every year for that Championship.  We're just down  here in 
Tulsa Town! 
Yes, The Southwern College big band is in That  Winfield, Kansas. It's a good 
little music town. In addition to there being some  kind of live music to be 
heard just about every weekend, the town's population  doubles for a week or 
two every September, when thousands of Bluegrass fans  descend en masse. I 
might have to invent Hammondgrass so I can join them! Our  band's bass player is 
Kelly Alexander. I don't play foot pedals (at least not  well enough to perform 
with). I practice them at home. When Matt Wilson played  here recently, the 
Hans Groiner jokes were flying thick and fast, because of my  having arranged 
Monk. If you don't know what I mean, search Hams Groiner  on youtube.
