My C2 is a "Lyon & Healey" Hammond as well. I live just north of Toronto, and I bought it about 7 years ago. It came from an elderly lady's estate, and I'm the 2nd owner. Hew nephew told me she had bought it from Lyon & Healey and had it shipped up to Canada. Just like Doug said. :-) It's in beautiful condition, by the way, as is the L142 that came with it. I suspect the worst damage they've seen is possibly being bumped by the vacuum cleaner a couple times. It now has a Trek II and an FX loop, and still lives happily in my living room. Best, Rob >Was a Chicago Hammond dealer, and I believe they also had other stores >in the States. To my knowledge they were never in Canada, so your C3 >was a US import. Something that a few folks did when our dollar was >higher than the US buck/ AND which drove us Canadian dealers nuts, as we >could not compete. And we still had to service them! Oh well, those >days are long gone. I hated it when after "selling" some person on a >Hammond, and then they go and buy it at another dealer in Canada or go >to the States and import the damn thing! It was most annoying! Doesn't >make a whole lotta difference now, huh? Cheers, old Doug in BC -- Toronto area, ON, Canada 53 C2+Trek w/142 - 59 A100 w/145 - 74 Porta-B - Leslie 860
