[HAM] DC filtering to the heater filament voltage of the AO28David Anderson thermionic27609 at earthlink.netFri Dec 21 12:23:32 CST 2007
Scott, I agree. Like I said, I ran the calculations on it once, but I never got sufficiently interested in it to try it. Usually, a DC heater supply needs to be designed as such from the get- go. On a different note, I do think it is possible to improve the overall grounding schemes in both organs and Leslies. There have been some advancements in grounding/shielding know-how over the last 50 years. Of course, as you say, we're talking about small gains that appeal to us Hi-Fi nuts whose heads would explode if we didn't have something towards which to direct our obsessive-compulsive energies. Luckily for me, I just got all my parts to build my new tube line- stage preamp. OCD heaven. David A.
