The one time I saw him (I sincerely hope to increase that number!) he 
appeared to trip down the stairs coming off the stage after the show.  I 
wonder if this was par for the course given this apparent trickster-like 
behavior.

Makes me think of the scene in The Commitments when they're watching 
footage of James Brown doing his cape routine and they think he's been hurt.
