[HAM] TTR 100 speakers

Hi,
I recently purchased a TTR 100 and hope that you may be able to answer a few questions.

The integral speakers face away from the player, ( it is probably a professional / stage organ ). I was hoping to position the organ facing a wall in my home but that would not give the speakers a chance. Does connecting the Leslie cut out the integral speakers, or does the Leslie compliment them ?
If the integral speakers are live all of the time, would disconnecting them and only using the Leslie give me good results ?

I am a complete Hammond novice and I am sure that more questions will follow.
