[HAM] Cleaning Question

The BV I picked up had sat in the same corner for 20 years.  Probably got 
Pledge'd once every 4 months.  When I got it home, I started a regimen of  a 
complete rubdown with lemon oil then 3-4 days later (when it looked dry) a 
going over with Scott's Liquid Gold.  Wait 3-4 days and repeat.  Seems the 
lemon oil would soak down in and the Scott's would 'leach' it and the dirt 
out. It actually took over a month (5 coats or so of each) before the rag 
quit coming up dirty!
