Hi all,
I have been lurking here for a few months after aquiring my L-102. I know it's not a B3, but it has as many advantages over the B3 as it has disadvantages.(IMHO)
I'm running mine through a Weber mini mass, the green and black from the amp I conected to on of these numbers (https://taweber.powweb.com/store/pvmh.htm) and insert into the input on the back of the mini mass. The spade lugs on the speaker I attatch to the other jack in that kit. You can also canibalize a speaker 1/4 phono jack and roll your own. But this kit was worked great.

Here is the mini Mass https://taweber.powweb.com/weber/minimass.htm

Then I run the line out into my Behringer UB2440FX Mixer in my rack with full range speakers and Subwoofers. This particular model of Mixer has line out on the first 8 channels so I then run from the back line out into a Sidewinder AR112 Motion sound. Then mic out from the AR112 back into the PA. in another channel. The channel sending out to the AR112 I keep the overall volume low, but pump up the Subwoofer channel. The so when the drum is spinning it isn't washed out by the PA speakers. The channel on the return to the PA I crank up more So the doppler effect is driven in the Amp. This gives me a good full range on the Organ. I get thumping lows with the subs from my PA, I can crank the attenuation knob on the mini mass to get as much gain I want or need. The more I turn it up I also get sound coming from the front of the spinnet. The AR112 does a decent job but I don't get he low doppler humming drone nor the doppler woosh from the absent highs and lows. Although I do get those frequencies plenty from the PA, they aren't being animated by the rotor.
The Ar112 is limited in range designed more for the guitar than a full spectrum instrument like an organ. So I plan on replacing the speaker in the sidewider with a Beta 12LT (http://www.pulseonline.com/eminence31.htm). Why because I picked up the AR112 for $199. My BIL has a Whurlitzer Funthing organ, with a lot of non working issues. It has a nice spinning horn in the back. I'm in the process of convincing him it's worthless.(He's one of those people that if he had a L100 he'd try to sell it for $1200) I'm trying to educate him on the market, right now the thing is just a livingroom blight taking up his space. I'd like to aquire his horn from that thing and rework one of the myriad of tube tranny chassis I have to power it.

So I have the I/O and power source/sources well taken care of. I have read and reread plenty of the Mods for the L and have performed a few, like for keyclick and mids on the percussion unit. I also ran a wire from the resistor that controls the vibrato speed and attatched a Pot to control the speed. Works dandy, not a huge range but enough in the warble to detect a difference in the value. Next I'll be doing the foldback. I have a T spinnet I plan on canibalizing for the contacts and wire. I'll also guage wheather it is a chore I can tackle on the L when I do get to dissasembling the T.

Thanks for being here and for all of the valuable posts you guys contribute. I didn't post before now because I didn't want to be a PIA asking questions that have already been posted. I have perused all of this list as well as the archive and the organ forum. So I promise to post new refreshing questions and not the same old same old Newb stuff.
I hope the method I have outlined in getting a good level out helps others, I haven't seen this method posted anywhere. Most methods mentioned still gives you a very hot signal, to hot to run into most mixer channels with out a D/I match box, and padding it at least 10db. I tried several. I still run this into a matchbox but I don't pad it any. I find it's not as hot than runing it straight from the Weber mini mass, when I crank the attenuation all the way up or select bypass.

Ted
