Yes that can be accomplished.
It will take some effort!
You might be able to get the Memphis type sound, (straight lower and
rotating upper) much easier. 

A different amplifier set in the 720 could give you a boost.
(more effort) or lower impedance speakers. I don't know what the end result
in sound quality if this was done.

Thanks for the info, Mike.  <snip> oh...forgot to
ask....will it modify into a single channel so he
could use it with an A100?  Wish my 720 was 280 watts.
