[HAM] 2 prong to 3 prong (grounded) power cord

This seems a silly question, but since I'm not into experiementing with 110 VAC...
   
  I need to replace the old 2 prong power cord on my M-111
   
  Can I convert to a 3 prong with green wire (ground) to the chassis?
