[HAM] M3 with bad starter motor?Ed Greany crest25 at verizon.netMon Jan 29 16:33:43 CST 2007
Doug, There is a small rectangle oil cup adjacient to the motor with a fine thread to direct the oil to where it needs to be lubricated. Be sure you have oiled this cup about only about 2/3 full and the thread is not broken. It obviously is not getting the oil where it needs it. Once you release the starter motor it just coast down...? Tried (over) oiling everything but can't silence the noise or get the run motor to help out. TWG is plenty freed up and the organ has been starting and playing fine up to this point. How does one check the run motor?
