The new B3 is sample based which allows it to be more MIDI compatible
and allows the technology to be used in less expensive models. But it sounds
great. My problem with MIDI samples is I think the brain quickly loses interest
in repeated identical sounds but the new B3 has enough of the original
idiosyncrasies to keep it from sounding sterile.
